Specialty :Other
If you are a medical tourist looking for a luxury hospital, world class medical care and US trained physicians- this is the place to go. You will not regret it. They have tons of experience and you will get better care here than in the USA for 1/8 of the price.

Heart Surgery- Bypass
on October 14, 2010
Specialty :Heart & Heart Surgery
I flew from the US to get a cuadruple bypass of my heart here after having a heart attack. I could not afford the surgery at home and had no insurance. The surgery was $12000 here and in the US over $100,000- my doctor had practiced in the US for more than 10 years and was american board certified. This place is amazing- all my nurses were RNs not nursing aids. They are just fantastic and get more than 200,000 thousand patients from all over the world every year! I was home and symptom free 2 weeks after the surgery. I am so happy I found this hospital, at home I guess I would have died.

Heart Attack
by UAE
on October 6, 2010
Specialty :Heart & Heart Surgery
I flew here from UAE after being diagnosed with a silent heart attack at home. The international offices were very professional and helpful. I ended up having a cardiac bypass- with excellent results. Many of my physicians were trained in the US ( board certified) or in Europe. My family was able to visit me quite a it even in the ICU. The quality of care was excellent- I still think they need to improve their cardiac rehab a little though- but that is only a minor suggestion considering the big picture.

Specialty :Rehabilitation
Overall I was very impressed with the level of medical service that I received. This was my second trip and I was surprised at how the patient mix had changed from western to middle eastern. I hope this doesnt mean prices will go up!

Catch a cab!
by Joseph
on September 21, 2010
Specialty :
If you need to get to this hospital fast, catching a cab can be better than waiting for an ambulance in the Bangkok traffic! Bumrungrad is located in between Soi's 1 and 3 on Sukhumvit Road, in the heart of Bangkok. The hospital complex includes outpatient and inpatient centers, a long term stay facility, an emergency/trauma center and a fitness and nutrion center. I had a relatively minor medical issue but was treated well.

Medical tourist

I went to Bumrungrad as a medical tourist for an elective surgery. The HR staff, medical personnel and techs made me feel very comfortable although I was half way across the world from my family and loved ones. The procedure did not have any complications and I returned home safely. The whole thing cost me about one tenth of the amount of money it would have cost here in the US ( Boston).
