I had a knife cut in my finger. The bleeding didn't stop even after I tied it with a Ice dipped wet cloth. I rushed to Fortis Hospital, they diverted me to the emergency. The consultants and nursing staff don't have any idea about the first aid of continuous bleeding. I felt bad and urged them to do something on the bleeding to stop. The consultant is suggesting to take an X-ray, and also stitching the cut. I was shocked on how these blood suckers been trained to snatch money from you. I asked to first do a treatment on bleeding and then will discuss further. I didn't accept for X-ray, stitch or any other bull shit consultations. I asked them to do a dressing alone and had a TT injection. The bill for this alone is Rs.550/-. The ridiculous hospital I have ever had a first aid in my life. I would highly recommend people not to go for treatment at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.
They are here to extract money. No proper explanation for their lapses
I thought about travelling here for elective surgery but the whole visa process is such a unnecessary chore. Why is it that Thailand does not need a visa from most western countries and India does? Obviously the reasons are political but the result is that at the margin medical tourists will always find it easier to travel to Thailand.
The whole experience of getting my TKR (total knee replacement) here went as smoothly as I hoped. Dr. Sanjay Pai did a great job. Lots of logistical support (travel reservations, visas etc...). One week in the hospital and with everything included, the total cost came to an incredible $7,000!
Very good ENT service!!
