AWARDS-ACHIEVEMENTS
2007: Clinical Research Flagship programmes, on the study of gastric cancer, as well as metabolic diseases (diabetes and obesity), with $25,000 million award.
2007: Discovery of a gatekeeper gene, wich prevents the uncontrolled growth of cells leading to colorectal cancers, by a NUHS research team, led by Professor in Medical Oncology, Mr. Yoshiaki Ito.
2006: Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. Award (Platinum).
2006: Asian Hospital Management Awards.
European Congress of Radiology (ECR) Magna Cum Laude Award.
Clincian-Scientist Investigator Award.
Young Investigator Award, Asia-Oceania Congress of Radiology (AOCR).
Japanese Society of Gastroenterology (JSGE) Fellowship Award.
MOH Clinical Quality Poster Competition.
2004: The NUH became the first Singapore hospital to receive Joint Commission. International (JCI) Accreditation, an international stamp for excellent clinical practices in patient care and safety.
2002: NUH is the first and only hospital in Singapore to achieve triple ISO certification simultaneously - ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management System); ISO 14001:1996 (Environmental Management System); and OHSAS 18001:1999 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)
