My step brother was an inpatient here in one of the psychiatry units because of depression that had been resistant to outpatient therapy and treatment. He was an inpatient for almost 3 weeks. I visited him as often as possible and was always well impressed by the facilities and the nursing care. The rest of my family has the same opinion. Most importantly the psychiatrists treating him were very clear in their explanations, communicated with the family on a regular basis and were always accessible and available. In general Yale New Haven Hospitals have a very good reputation- in my opinion well deserved. Hope this helps another patient or patients family member!
