We were just at the urgent care who recommended we go to the E.R. When we arrived I was quickly admitted with shortness of breath and fatigue. I was quickly admitted and seen by... more the Dr. I brought my paperwork with me from the urgent care showing all the work they had previously done. They said they didn't think it was much to worry about but they could do another medical exam to make us feel better. The dr. and nurse said they would be right back to do the exam. My husband and I were alone in that room for over an hour. Nobody came to check on us or see how we were doing. After an hour I flagged down a nurse and asked her to either get our doctor to do the exam or see if we can go. She returned less than two minutes later and replied, "Oh yeah you guys are good to go." She then promptly escorted us out of the room and toward registration. When I asked if I needed to check out she chipperly replied, "oh no, that's already been done."
Received a follow up call from my URGENT care Dr. and told him what happened. I told me I need to go to a different ER immediately and can't believe that.
If they don't think you're sick, they won't take the time to look into it.
About a month and a half ago, I went to the ER because of sharp pains on my left side, I had informed them of kidney stone family history and my history of UTI's. 2 hours later waiting for the doctor,... more he said it was a simple bladder infection and sent me with antibiotics. 3 weeks later i was in the ER for the same problem but the pain was a million times worse, i was throwing up i was in so much pain. Turns out it was a 6 mm stone with a bladder AND kidney infection. I had to stay in the hospital for 5 days after stent surgery and it was a terrible experience. I understnad nurses are busy but they didnt show any compassion and anytime something was wrong they just gave me more morphine not to mention i waited for EVER for them to come to me. so I FINALLY went home. and Now, Im back in the hospital at Mercy Gilbert for more infections in my Urinary Tract. Thing is, is they are actually pin-pointing the actual problem and showing me compassionate customer service. Im a 19 year old, struggling to pay rent and other bills when this could have honestly all been figured out in that first visit and i didnt have to miss 10 days of work because of this. Im livid right now which is probably what led me to typing this much. but I hope the owner sees it or something because, now that I've missed weeks of work, I cant work or do anything, when I could have figured this whole issue out in the first ER visit at Banner Ironwood. Make sure your doctor knows what hes doing guys. Im miserable right now.
