I have been here multiple times throughout the years. Some visits ok, some subpar. I was there recently for chest pain, not cardiac more rib pain, pleurisy etc. .My doctor had asked me to go to the ER... more since it was late. I understand that they have to check to make sure it's not cardiac related etc. I get all that.
I had a CT scan with contrast done. This is where it gets fun.... As the tech is administering the contrast it starts shooting out of my arm, the IV failed or was incorrectly inserted. There is contrast and blood everywhere. The tech is upset because she has to clean it up.... So she gets it cleaned. She's also tells me that apparently this happens Alot there.... uhh why?? So she Looked at my IV and moved it around and said. Ok think I fixed it. She then leaves the room and started to administer the contrast again and guess what...... BLOOD, AND CONTRAST EVERYWHERE, I guess some contrast went in because she's said "good I think we got "enough" I did no breathe in or do anything I was supposed to do during the CT because of the contrast was spraying everywhere. The scan i had was literally 2 seconds long. Not sure what she got with the split second CT.
So then i sat waiting for someone to take me back to er, the tech was cleaning the second go around of blood and contrast.
Instead if cleaning up my IV she hands me a wash rag and said they could deal with it in ER. I'm sitting there and blood is just spewing out. I finally get back to the ER and the IV broke in half... blood everywhere again. I made them remove that IV and then had to pur another one in. So then they try to tell me there is a weird finding on the CT (Yes it was a joke and done incorrectly ). They also tried to almost guilt me into being admitted on the CT findings, even the radiologist was not sure what it was. (I've since had another CT and it was clear.) I decided to leave and that there was absolutely no reason to admit me.... Then some nurse that I never even saw starts telling me if I leave AMA my insurance won't pay....... well i guess i will have a bill. I'm fuming at this point. So four days later.. still in pain, my arm is jacked up, Red and swollen I will avoid Baylor carrollton and just go to presby from now on
Obviously they are not interested in hearing from me. I have attempted to contact them 3 times using the link provided and have not heard one thing
