Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is an international leader in virtually every area of medicine and has been the site of pioneering breakthroughs that have improved lives around the world.... more A major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, BWH has a legacy of excellence that continues to grow year after year.
Doctor Scheonfeld told me what I did NOT have and said he couldn't do anything for me. Asked me if I wanted pain medicine, I denied, told me to see "pain management" and was on his way. I left so confused.... more I didn't know why I was being sent to "pain management" until I googled the words on my MRI report. He has poor communication skills. The doctor I went to for the 1st opinion said, Do not take pain medication. He said I was too young and it was addictive. How is a doctor from such an esteemed hospital not know any other possible ways to treat my problem?
The front desk and medical assistant was really nice though!
Gynecologic Oncology - they are FANTASTIC. Dr. Sarah Feldman & Dr. Colleen Feltmate are compassionate, very knowledgeable and thorough. Even the nurses & medical assistant are great! Everyone is very... more friendly and helpful! Will be having hysterectomy in January & I feel VERY confident in my surgeon, Dr. Feltmate. I would highly recommend this department & honestly this entire hospital to anyone! They are known as one of the top medical facilities in the nation & they live up to it!!
Wasn't happy having my baby delivered here. Waited hours before I was given a bed when I went into labor. They didn't have enough beds and couldn't give me anything for pain until there was a bed. Two... more doctors forced us to do a c-section even though we were against it! They doctor the report to validate a fake reason to our insurance company. This is one of the most aggressive, unethical and apathetic care centers to give birth in. Nurses are cold and rude. Doctors are passive and slow. Everyone is unorganized and nobody knows how to use their internal communication software called Epic. This means that no informationnis relayed to doctors or new nurses taking over the shift of another. The worst, worst hospital for giving birth or getting a breast biopsy. The results are rigged for profit!
Rate of readmission after discharge from hospital (hospital-wide)
Rate - 17.2% (1.2% above the national rate)
