Had an outpatient procedure yesterday.
My surgery started right on time. Nurses and anesthesiologist were very kind and caring. I felt no pain. Only issue I had was when I got home, I have bruises... more on my arm. I still rated as a 4 star because I am a heavy set person and I am understanding of the fact that they do have to move me from operating table to the hospital bed. Over all experience is good and would go back if I have future procedures.
Oh, by the way, I DID NOT like the registration lady Maria. Attitude and was acting like she was too good for that job.
Brought my 5yo to the ER at BHCS and while we appreciate the nursing care and the PA's initiative and care. The pediatric ER Dr who only came in to tell us what everyone else had already done and then... more the results of the tests the PA ordered. Other than that she basically squeezed us for every bit of money she could. Because BHCS does not have a pediatric ENT we have to transfer to another facility, we choose something other than Broward Health because we felt like we'd get better care somewhere else. Possibly because of this we were forced to be transported in a Broward Health associated ambulance which will probably cost anywhere between $2000 and $3000. And we still have to go through he ER at the next hospital and wait to be admitted..... Before you come to BHCS choose wisely, they're all about charging you for everything they can.
As a side note we've been in here since 230pm and it's 10pm.... we're still waiting, be prepared to wait for a long time!
