My friend had very poor care and aftercare..( hysterectomy and salpingo oopherectomy)
Not on a gynae ward but put on a day case ward after major surgery on a Friday afternoon.
Tinzaparin... more was not given post op despite being requested anti biotics not prescribed post op until a temp spike was noted... No follow up appointment offered...Staff very casual and making comments about patients after they had left.. Another person had to wait 6 hrs for their take home meds to be sorted. Staff playing music on the ward..
No one came to discuss care after surgery. The light over the bed was full of dust. Discharged without dressings or any follow up support.........
This was poor care and the attitude of the staff It gives an overall impression of a total lack of discipline.
My daughter had her first baby at this hospital by c-section after nearly 48 hours in labour. Words cannot describe the excellent care and kindness she received from the moment she walked into the Birth... more Centre. The midwives were absolutely wonderful as were the doctors, anaesthetists, and the student nurses. I was with my daughter throughout and we both wish to thank everyone at the Birth Centre and Trinity Ward. The staff deserve much more than their long overdue pay increases and everyone in the UK should be grateful for our wonderful Health Service.
Between us my partner and I have been seen by the Women's Health Unit, A&E and then the physio department all in one day. In every department we have been blown away by professional, helpful and friendly... more staff. This has been a really bad day for us all made that much more bearable by lovely people. Thank you.
