My son came in with a head/ face injury, broken wrist, fractured rib. He was in critical condition approximate time at 1430 hours. It was determined he had fractures in his face skull with severe bleeding... more and swelling to his face. Was told a dislocated wrist and was scanned from head to pelvis. We were told that they were not equipped to handle his injuries due to head/face trauma. Awaiting transport....from an ambulance, helicopter was an extremely long wait considering it was head trauma which I was informed can go badly quick. No helicopter was placed on stand by or an ambulance available!? An ambulance sat outside of ER for over 30 minutes with the ambulance driver sitting in ER drinking coffee???? Than around 7ish..the weather was supposedly too bad for a helicopter...windy!? He was not transported by ambulance until 8pm!!??? I was told by several trauma level personnel I know, head trauma should Never Be delayed...as noted approx sitting in ER was 5.5 hours??????? Then the word in Morgan county is...if you go to cpmc ER your probably gonna die.....this proved it to me!!!!! I would love a response!!!!!!!!! Even an ER nurse was not happy!?!? Upon his arrival to UCH Loveland ER stated he should NEVER....have been waiting there that long...he had several plates put in his face and head, 6 to be exact, not only dislocated wrist but it was broken and was never informed of a fractured rib???????? OCTOBER 13 2018 OCCURANCE. I only rate a 1 due to the head nurse in ER was good and frustrated too, stated she didn't want him there either. Rest of staff was unfriendly, rude and seemed to unattentive to the situation...on phones!!!!!
