I wouldn't send a dying dog here. This hospital is HORRIBLE! The ED rooms are so dirty. My son was bitten in the face by a dog, we were sent to this hospital by ambulance and had to wait 5hrs before being... more seen. They saw out of control inmates from a jail before a bleeding 10month old. They had nothing stocked for sutures. The ED is run by students. My son was never seen by a Dr just a nursing student and student PA. The nurses were asking EMTs how to do stuff. My son spent 1 week at CHOC hospital because of the lack of care from this hospital. Please aviod this hospital at all costs.
In my opinion, if you are sick, if you are hurt, if you need a doctor, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I had been sick for 4 weeks and went to urgent care. They referred me to the emergency room to get an IV because... more I was dehydrated. I was weak & had a fever. Had to get up from my chair to check in, and then sit back down They wouldn't allow my husband to check in for me. Had to stand up and then sit to get my vitals taken and then stand up to go back to the waiting room to sit back down. Had to stand up and walk to the man with the wheelchair so he could take me to get x-rays. He brought me back to the waiting room where I had to stand up and walk to the chairs in the waiting room. Had to stand up to get into the wheelchair so they could do a blood draw. The phlebotomist noticed I was weak and said I should keep the wheelchair. Thank the Lord! 20 minutes later, a man came out to the waiting room and told me he needed the wheelchair back so I had to stand up AGAIN and sit back down in a chair. I was called in to see the doctor, so I stood up again to get into another wheelchair. At this point I could no longer stand up by myself and required assistance from my husband. The doctor stood leaning on the counter, with his arms crossed and legs crossed, insinuated I was FAKING my illness. I was taken back to the waiting room to wait and wait. I waited for over 4 HOURS. I finally left because I couldn't sit any longer. Told the reception desk I was leaving. The reception desk didn't care. Never heard from the hospital. I did get a bill for almost $4000.00
