The east side clinic staff is great, but after spending over a YEAR on resolving false billing (even with my insurance company on the phone and them telling both of us that it was resolved), I can't recommend... more this place to anyone that wishes to avoid billing hell. It services primarily those in need of emergency care and the homeless. I only go here for convenience of distance.
Wonderful, knowledgeable staff. I received incredible maternity care from the caring midwives and I was thoroughly pleased with the accommodations and attention me and my baby received afterwards. Shout... more out to Brenda and her team! I continue to take my baby to see doctors here for her appointments, and my husband and I receive our care here as well. Other than long wait times to get a routine care appointment, I haven't had a bad experience yet!
Turned me away 3x for emergent inguinal hernia surgery because I didn't "financially qualify" for help and couldn't come up with $500 even though I was unemployed and debilitated because of the condition.... more Rude and unhelpful staff. So many other stories I could get into that occurred over the years to me and my family and friends at "Denver General." Deplorable. **Edit in response to "owner": Denial of the occurrence isn't surprising. This was in Oct. 2001 so maybe you weren't there at the time, but I most certainly was denied medical care at Denver General because I didn't financially qualify for help beyond what I was offered: i.e. Payment of $500 in advance or no surgery and denied emergency care because I was uninsured & couldn't pay. We couldn't afford it at the time. I lost my job. Was denied worker's comp. My lawyer was a deadbeat--ended up filing a complaint with the board and he was disbarred with several complaints against him. Denver Health didn't help us in our situation and is lucky we didn't legally pursue them as well. We ended up homeless and living in our car. Eventually we left Colorado and I found a real solution, an affordable situation and health insurance to pay for the corrective operation in another state. Denver and it's healthcare systems were pathetic years ago. Hopefully it's changed since then. I was a victim of unfortunate circumstances surely, things happen, but I hold this facility partly responsible for our pain & suffering.
