WENT INTO THIS CIRCUS WITH A SUSPECTED BROKEN FOOT.
OF COURSE I WAS HANDLED BY AN UNMOTIVATED NURSE THAT GAVE ME NO TIME TO EXPLAIN MY SITUATION AND SAW HOW BAD I WAS LIMPING. OFFERED NO HELP AT... more ALL. SHE EXAMINED MY FOOT FOR THE BEST PART OF 5 SECONDS WHILE I YELPED IN PAIN. HAD TO ACTUALLY TALK HER INTO GIVING ME AN XRAY TO CONFIRM THIS. I HADNT FRACTURED IT BUT THE PAIN WAS SO BAD I ASKED FOR SOME XRUTCHES TO EASE THE WEIGHT OFF MY FOOT. SHE CAME BACK WITH 2 CRUTCHES AND THEN GAVE ME 1 CRUTCH. WHY BRING 2 IF U WERE ONLY GONNA GIVE ME 1. IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT 8:30ISH ON A THURSDAY AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE WAITING ROOM. I HAVE PICTURES TO PROVE THAT.
AS FOR THE XRAY PHOTOGRAPHER HE COULDNT WAIT TO GET HOME HE STOOD THERE MOANING ABOUT THE HOSPITAL HIMSELF. A TOTAL EMBARRASMENT TO THE NHS.
LATER ON THAT NIGHT I VISITED MEDWAY HOSPITAL WHICH CONFIRMED THAT MY FOOT WAS IN FACT BROKEN IN 3 PLACES. WELL DONE SITTINGBOURNE
I had great kindness from everyone - the lady from Reception who cheeerfully and uncomplainingly mopped up a large pool of my blood, then of her own volition got me a drink so that I wouldn't get dehydrated,... more and the nurses who dressed my wound, very gently and carefully. I was made to feel like an individual, not just an "unfeeling object" (as at another hospital not too far away ....) My grateful thanks to everyone at Minor Injuries.
