I am a Crohn's patient who was checked into the emergency room on Sunday night for a major bowel obstruction and stayed until Wednesday afternoon. This has been an absolute terrible experience. None of... more the staff seemed be communicating effectively. I had to repeat my medical history several times and on the last day the doctor still didn't know half of the stuff they'd beenb told several times at that point. None of the nurses were able to give me any information on what my care plan was. After the first day my pain was managed and I felt ready to go home but they wouldn't let me leave and threatened that I would be responsible for the entire bill if I checked myself out early. I only saw a doctor once a day who pretty much just asked if the GI had been by to see me (which never once came) so I was assured they would set me up with an appointment with a GI when they checked me out, which also didn't happen... So now I'm going home, in the exact same position I was in before I came here, except now I owe the hospital thousands of dollars in co-pays...
Took my 86 year old mother to the ER. Everyone was very kind & professional. Did not mind the wait since she was stable. Dr Mowry & the nurses were extremely attentive. Diagnosis made , X-rays done ,... more pain treated. The ER was very busy , but I witnessed everyone being treated with respect & kindness. I'm very thankful DHM is part of our community.
Definitely recommend their child birth class. Had to visit ER; staff was very quick to assist. Testing equipment was modern; Had a video conference with a doctor from UCSF regarding my condition. Overall... more cleanliness was ok. I've had other experiences with the hospital and all were pleasant.
