The doctors in the emergency department are some of the most disrespectful doctors I've ever met. The first time I went for headaches that would not go away, the doctor took me as a joke. So did the person... more who took my chest x-ray. She said "so how long have you been sick"? using air quotes when saying sick as if I was there for fun and games. The 2nd time I was there was okay, at least the doctor that time took some consideration. Now the 3rd time I was there, the doctor was beyond rude and had me in tears. I did not feel welcomed there at all. He told me how this was my 3rd time there and that it's more than an average person comes there a year. I told him how I couldn't make it to my last follow up due to it costing over $100 for the visit. He said that is my responsibility. I agree it is my responsibility but I literally just turned 18 like a month ago when I last visited there. He said "I do not feel sympathy for you being uninsured". Okay it's not like I expected to have issues as soon as I turn into an adult. I'm sure not all of the doctors are like that there I just so happened to get the pissed off one. However, the nurses are total sweethearts most of the time and I appreciate what they do. I'm not saying it's a bad place because it's not it's only some of the doctors that make the experience worse.
