Horrible experience when they forced a feeding tube down my throat when I told them I did not consent to one since I did not medically require one. I was falsely diagnosed by a surgeon, Dr. Collins, with... more a rare stomach disease which almost resulted in me having a completely unnecessary and risky surgery. I've been to multiple doctors after that who ran tests and saw no signs of the disease and was unable to contact the surgeon who originally diagnosed me. The staff was not friendly or comforting. They also sent me a bill to an address in which I did not live at after I had already paid my medical bills. They had my current address, but did not attempt to contact me at that place before they placed a collection on my credit card account that I found out about 2 years later. I disputed the collection and won the investigation.
UPDATE: It's been 9 months. I've been in PT for about four months now. I ran an 8 minute mile a few weeks ago. Can't say enough good things about my experiences with Enloe. Come to Enloe, Get Whole. ... more />
My wife and I were in a severe car accident on New Year’s Eve. I was flown by chopper to Chico Enloe for emergency care. I suffered an open communited fracture to my right ankle, requiring multiple surgeries. Everyone we came into contact with was amazing. The nurses were helpful and sensitive to my injuries. Dr. Mary Herzog did both of my surgeries and she was superb. She took time during her rounds to answer any questions my wife and I had and ensured we understood the answers so we could make informed decisions. Another thing we noticed about Enloe was that our surgeon rotated over to the ortho trauma clinic across the street. Having regular follow-ups with our initial surgeon was great. Not sure if that’s standard in the industry, but we surely appreciated it. We also had great care at the trauma clinic. Nurses and techs gave clear answers to our questions and they never were irritated about answering questions. Over the course of treatment, I would ask the people who worked for Enloe how long they worked there and why. To my surprise most were seasoned employees of over 7 years or longer. They all spoke highly of Enloe with their own experiences as patients and they felt the CEO genuinely cared for them and supported their ability to do their jobs.
