I am 29 weeks pregnant and at 24 weeks was dropped by my OB. I was having health issues that should have been easily treatable by my OB, however no OB in the Tampa area will see me due to how far along... more I am. At my wits end, I gave up and went to the ER, arriving in tears. Everyone was so sweet and compassionate, particularly the OB nurse that saw to my issues. These people actually care. In a few minutes, I was much calmer because of the amazing amount of empathy these nurses were displaying. I am so sad this OB unit is closing, because I would absolutely prefer to go here than anywhere else. :( Thank you for everything.
Absolutely GREAT experience. My dad had outpatient surgery today, we were both floored by the great group of people that work at Florida Hospital North Pinellas. The professionalism and care they offer... more are beyond compare. From the admission process through the discharge every step of the way was perfect. We highly recommend this location and will ask to come here for any procedures we may need in the future.
My nephew came in after being stung by sting ray... as he laid on a bed in the ER in scrutiating pain and no treatment I went to ask the nurses what we could do. There were 7 nurses sitting at the nurse... more station doing nothing (laughing, eating) and they said they couldn’t do anything for that situation but to run hot water on the site I then asked why this was not being done and they told me they had to wait for the doctor. We (the family- not the nurses) got my nephew close to the sink and started running hot water to the area to control his pain. The doctor finally arrived and gave him pain medication prescribed him the lowest antibiotic and sent him home. My nephew is now at another hospital being treated with three of the strongest antibiotics. The personnel showed no compassion, no care and had the worst customer service and lack of knowledge that I have ever seen. Medicine is not an exact science but at least try to look like you really want to be in this field and that you care. It is so sad to see that the people who have taken an oath to save lives are not even trying. If any administration is interested in looking into this it happened 4/27/18 at around 9pm.
