I'll start by saying that I got what I needed so I'm thankful for that. I was brought into the ER by ambulance after having 3 seizures within an hour. This is a diagnosed disorder I've had since childhood... more that is induced by vomiting. I have nausea medication at home that would not stay down. My goal was to get IV zofran to control the nausea until the stomach upset was settled enough to take my oral medication.
The nursing staff, phlebotomist, and registration attendant were all very kind and professional.
The physician, whose name I don't believe was ever given and doesn't appear on my discharge paperwork, could have been more helpful. Despite reporting the chief complaint as seizures to 911 dispatch, the paramedics, and the nursing staff when the physician came in he acted like I was just upset because I don't like throwing up. My husband tried to explain our concern was to stop the seizures and the physician cut him off to continue asking me useless questions. If we'd had the chance to explain what we needed it would have been a better experience. I feel like I could have spent fewer than 6 hours there if anyone had asked what my goal for the visit was.
After giving 2 different staff members my new pharmacy preference the prescription was still sent to an old pharmacy three cities away from my new home. Since I can't drive within 48 hours of losing consciousness and my husband had been awake for 24 hours and was tired the prescription was useless. Thankfully it was the same medication I have at home.
Had I known I would have signed a declination to transport after the paramedics gave IV zofran at my home and continued to treat with medication at home.
I am leaving this review because one of their gynecologist Mr Brian Kilonzo is a very dangerous man and likes to stalk his patients outside the office and there is more then 1 patient. Gensis has been... more aware of this close to a year and refuse to do anything about it because they would rather bully the patients who have already been violated verses deal with the problem. The first woman was myself. He started hitting on me at the first appointment and every appointment after that, I noticed the sever stalking after my surgery as he was hitting on me again at the surgery and I noticed a storm of Kenyan Africans stalking me for him at my home. he ended up telling about 50 people where I lived to terrorize me, when i told him i didn't want to see him anymore. He at first used his charm to win me over and to start a inappropriate relationship with me out side the office and inside too, he would sit outside my house 24 hours aday, if it wasn't him it was the other Africans. When I asked him to stop he sent lawyers after me again leaving me 1 woman to fight 50 people slamming on there breaks infront of my house and screaming f-you so bad my neighbors started moving. I have had to move 3 times in 1 year because of the stalking. By the way I am not seeking to sue as I would have already as my stalking has lasted almost 2 years however making women aware is more important to me then suing.
Hes a really nice doctor but its a disguise he uses he charm as a doctor to win your trust but hes a kenyan thug that likes to do sexual things to his patients like driving by licking on ice cream cones looking at me in a sexual manner.
The last patient we found out about was 19 when he started the really special friendship relationship with her and asked her where she worked and ended up showing up to her job about 4 times in about a 6 week period she ended up quitting her job and her manger is a witness. He was stalking her too, like he had me and is still currently stalking me, he was stalking her to know when the exact time she was working. She was fully in his care at the time when he started showing up at her job and stalking her as I was.
Its against the code of ethics for him to have any relationship outside the doctors offices with his patients. He could lose his licence as its unethical for him to have any relationship of any kind outside of the office with his patients. He has pursued a relationship with his patients out side the office and the youngest one being only 19 when it started. He has to act like a good man as he is a doctor but in real life he stalks his patients and a obgyn is the doctor who delivers babys and hes a womans only private part doctor. There is no reason at all he should be stalking any patients at all just be aware and careful if you are in his care and notice anything weird outside the office. If something has already happened I urge you to call Gensis as women are not safe in his care.
I myself have been stalked almost two years the other patient was in his care about 11 to 13 months before he took there doctors patient relationship outside the office and started stalking her and showing up at her job. She like myself trusted him. Since my insurance paid for my treatment I have all rights to leave feedback as hes went to extreme links to shut me up. I leave this to make women aware and i wonder how many others there are like us and just think its only them because they dont know about us
he even has women tagged to his private parts on facebook and again Genesis refused to make there patients safe
Years ago I had an event that seemed like it was a seizure. I was taken to Illini to get checked out and before fully running all tests, they diagnosed me with a frontal... more lobe hemmorage (brain bleed). The ER Dr wanted me to start taking anti seizure meds immediately but under the advice of my S.O. I chose not to. They spoke to me about possibly needing brain surgery and not being able to drive anymore. I was terrified.
The next day after running more tests, a neurologist came in and explained that my brain was not bleeding but that I have a condition that can make me pass out if triggered.
No brain bleed
No brain surgery
No need for anti seizure meds
NO NEED TO GET ME THAT SCARED UNTIL TESTS WERE COMPLETED.
I will always choose to go to a different hospital after this experience.
Rate of readmission after discharge from hospital (hospital-wide)
