I went to this hospital April of 2016 because my son was hurting whenever he tried to eat and was drooling non stop. After being there for 4-5 hours they only tested my son for strep thoat. They had no... more concern for him at all, I had to keep asking when he would be seen, and when he was seen, I had to ask about his test results. Long story short they said he may have a cold. Well I knew that wasn't it so I had to take him to his doctor the next day, Once I got there she knew something wasn't right so she sent him to T.C Thompson who showed a whole lot more concern and listen to what I had to tell them about my son. Come to find out he had a quarter size watch battery stuck in his throat, and being that it had being in his chest for over 10-24 hours they wouldn't get it out because they didn't have a pediatricin heart surgeon there in case the battery ate through to his aorta, so my son was flown to Nashville. Had I listen to these people and not gone with my motherly instinct my son would have died. I would Never Take Anyone that I know to this hospital!
My son went to the ER he needed stitches. We waited over three hours for him to be called back. The entire time we were there all the receptionists (people sitting at the desk) did was stay on their cellphones... more and chat with each other. We asked for blanket because it was so cold in the waiting area the guy acted like we were bothering him and he didn’t give us a blanket. Finally near shift they called my son and several others Back. This is the worst customer service. The nicest person we encountered was the cleaning lady, they learn a few things from her. The male receptionist and young blonde receptionist could keep their hands off of each other long enough to help patients. I think they forgot people come to ER because they need medical help quickly. I saw one older gentleman with grey hair and glasses he was constantly busy unlike the others.
My daughter was born on September 16, 2015. Our Nurses were wonderful and took great care of both of us. The nurse who took care of us in the post-op recovery room came to check on us the next day. Thank... more you to the nurse named Paula for being the sweetest, most amazing nurse I've ever had.
