As a foreigner, it's always a little daunting to visit a hospital in a new country. I had an ear infection from diving and the pharmacy requires a prescription for antibiotics so they sent me here. It... more was a Saturday so I had to go to the ER. Easy enough to find, clearly signed, the nurses all spoke decent English, they took my information and did temperature and blood pressure check then I waited for the next available doctor. It was quite busy but not as bad as it could have been. After about half an hour the doctor called me over and examined my ear, asking a few questions in good English. It would have been much faster but an emergency case came in so of course I didn't mind the delay. In the end the doctor hurriedly wrote the prescription while the patient was being transferred to the bed, very calm and patient, not forgetting about me even in such a situation. It was 600 pesos for the check and then about 1000 for the antibiotics and painkillers. Within 24 hours now and already the ear is starting to clear up.
This is a disgusting excuse for a hospital! The hospital manager lies and scams people out of money. You have to hire private nurses to care for the patient even though they have nurses employed there.... more You have to purchase your own medications and then give the meds to the nurses to dispense. Unfortunately, some of the meds come up missing! Passing out the meds is just about all the nurses do. They have 10 doctors assigned to the one patient we have there! Ridiculous! They charge for each time they take a BP reading or each use of an oximeter. This place is only interested in how much money they can get! I will be posting this and more on social media, so people will know to stay as far away from this place as possible.
