The nursing staff is very compassionate the hospitalists are horrible! Our hospitalist told my wife that he was fine w giving her mom an antibiotic her mother was allergic to. He said, “I’m not... more concerned about a little rash.” My wife (a physician) said it’s not just a rash but hives (a much more serious allergic reaction). He left the order as Ampicillin.
It was the floor RN who saw the Allergy section of my mother in law’s chart and questioned the antibiotic w my wife. The RN stated that ethically she would not give the dose and would question the decision.
30 minutes later the antibiotic was changed to a different antibiotic.
If you have a choice..... keep driving past Methuen if you need any type of medical care.
Most amazing staff when it comes to THE BIRTHING CENTER!!! Had both my children here and let me just say for my first birth it was the most incredible experience due to the amazing care of the nurses who... more worked with me. VERY AND EXTREMELY CARING, in the sense of making sure everything was ok with both me and my child as well as my company (mother, siblings etc). For my first born 5 years ago, the way they helped me through it they couldn't believe it was my first time because of how good i was doing, they didn't notice it was because of them. So THANK YOU TO THE BIRTHING CENTER AT THE HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL :)
