It's sad that this hospital is suppose to be caring for the Brooklyn community. Hands down the worst hospital. I've been here several times, always ER, and it's the same BS each time. The wait to even... more be TRIAGED is insane, I've waited 5hrs once. Like I've never seen anything like it, and the staff at check in are insanely rude and inconsiderate. They're there solely for a paycheck. I did have nice and considerate doctors/nurses while I was there, but you wouldn't know that because what one has to go through just to see one. There is no rhyme or reason for their ER to be handled this way.
I too thought this was the worst hospital ever. it is very disorganized and a nightmare in which to work. I could never imagine being a patient there.
30 yrs and many hospitals later, I... more realised that the workload that these people are handling is being handled amazingly well.
rude? remember, the staff are actually people. they are being challenged with an incredible workload. they are likely more frustrated than the clientele. they are getting it from the patients AND their supervisors.
you may not know it but you are being served by people, well-meaning, knowledgeable, hard-working PEOPLE.
I've been in the e.r since 7pm and it's 11:06 pm I have yet to be seen by a doctor and I came in because I'm pregnant and bleeding heavy with severe cramps WORST E.R. ever !! Only thing good I can say... more is that the front desk staff WEREN'T rude .... UPDATE I was finally sent into the main e.r at 1a.m. didn't get worked on until 2 didn't leave until 7 and I'm still not sure on my condition worst place ever never again I'd rather wyckoff or woodhull
