This is the worse post op hospital I've ever seen . These nurses and techs need training.
I worked 5 years on a post op floor and know how it works , these folks here definitely dont. Big mistake... more coming here. I shouldn't have to ask for ice to bring down swelling , i shouldn't have to ask to be helped to be put in a chair so I'm up , i shouldn't have to ask for things to wash up and brush teeth in the morning, i shouldn't have to buy a thermometer to keep track of my fevers because techs can't even do it right . Very sad experience here , regretting every moment im here.
If I could give 0 stars, I would!! My mother has been employed here for 12 years and that is the ONLY reason I will tolerate this poor excuse for a hospital. The nurses were awful. I was not attended... more to like a patient should. They stuck an IV in my arm which was very painful (the nurse couldnt even find the vein. She stuck me like 5 times) and I have a very high pain tolerance! So that was a shocker for me. After the bag of fluids were empty, I let them know immediately, but it took them 30 minutes to come and take the fluid bag, with the NEEDLE STILL IN MY ARM CONNECTED TO NOTHING. At that point the needle started to hurt my arm, but I still waited. 5 minutes pass and blood is squirting out of the needle from my vein. I called for help, no one answered. My boyfriend had to go to the counter to see the nurses TEXTING AND TALKING and had to force them to come remove the needle because I was already starting to take it out myself. They literally told me "thats okay, thats fine" that the needle was drawing blood making it squirt everywhere! At that point, I didnt even want to stay anymore. I went HOME! Next time I have an emergency I'd rather just die on the floor or take a 3 hour ride to Miami. This hospital should be shut down !!
