I had my first born daughter here staff was professional here, but they could be more sincere one nurse was a little too verbally forceful. Like do this & that in terms of helping her do her job. Also,... more I don't like the hospital policy of women/mothers getting primary parental rights over the baby automatically in terms of decision making over the new born. Seems very unfair to men/fathers in general that are not included in that decision making as well & very backwards. It's 2018 I feel men/fathers should also get primary parental rights over their new born automatically as well same as the mothers do it should be shared parental rights. Policy seems very one sided & gender discriminatory towards men/fathers.
I have multiple problems with this hospital. For once, when I was born, I developed whooping cough, which is serious for young infants, and when we came to MacNeal, they said that I would be “Alright”... more and that “He doesn’t need any treatment”. That is not how a hospital should act. A good one would take it’s time, examining and testing for a diagnosis, then prescribe the right treatment. If you want to find a good hospital, go to Rush Medical Center. It is a whole lot better there.
