It's alright, but if you're in inpatient treatment, they'll try to scan ways into making you pay for stuff you didn't ask for in the first place... I'm 19 years old... Tf I need an ECG for??? Newcomers... more beware! Other than that it's ok.
I took my little sister last night 10/10/17 at 8 pm to get her sprained ankle checked out just to get a school note I would like to say that the RN Vivian goes above and beyond to make everyone at the... more E.R. Feel special and taken care for. There where kids running, she calmed them down and gave em coloring books and crayons. There wherent enough chairs? She got some more chairs. Alot of people waiting? She offered us coffe, even decaf :)) I had been there a few times before and no nurse had done that. We'll done Vivian, this hospital gets a thumbs up for hireing great workers. I had also slit my arm a couple years ago and the doctor and nurse did a great job. Sad to say I don't remember their names.
I been going to McNeal for many many years. Over the years their customer service and quality of service has declined. The family practice office is understaffed, it takes weeks just to get a referral... more and when you do no one bothers to call to let you know it is ready. The office visits are "get them out as fast as you can" often, the visits feel rushed and it feels as some of the doctors don't really pay attention to your concerns. This is the main reason why I move my kids to different primary doctor. Recently, my mother was hospitalized at McNeal and it was terrible. One of the elevators was out for 3 days, the rooms are so small and tight, I got bruises from bumping into things. My mother was there for 4 days and she kept getting worse to the point that it seem she wasn't going to make it. While her stay, my mother was dirty, no shower, her face greasy... she was very weak and she had several accidents too. She told me one of the nurses yelled at her and went on a rant about how she (my mother) needed to get someone to help her. The nurse basically made a sweet old lady cry. The day after that incident my mom appeared worse, she was mentally deteriorating, would not eat, and had high blood pressure. She was transferred on the 5th day to another location (not McNeal) and by next day she was doing much better physically and mentally. Although most of the nurses and the social worker at McNeal were really nice, those that were not stood out. My mother did not receive quality care, she got worse. There was a lack of professionalism, empathy for a sick old lady, and she felt as some nurses were mocking her as they watch her struggle to get on the bed and said someone even had their phone facing towards her, as if they were recording her. I am appalled at the lack of professionalism from some of the staff members, most which are really young and clearly not properly trained. She will never step foot in Family Practice Office or that Hospital again.
