It surprises me that Aster MIMS holding such a great rating. I had a very bad experience being there and I realised that I had chosen a wrong decision. I had my first delivery at MIMS on March 2017 during... more the dreadful summer. The service the hospital management provided us in the in patient wing were very much disappointing beyond words! The blissful moments of childbirth turned out to be a total turmoil. Myself, my mother and my baby very doomed in hell for about 5 days. Nevertheless can I take it other than as a nightmare! And finally the hospital bid us a farewell with an amazing apettite of a 7 star bill. I don't know how long this hospital would run properly. Anyway wish you long life!!
TERRIBLE.On 27 september 2017 i went with my father in law to mims calicut for taking a tetanas toxoid injection in the casuality as a pre operative procedure for an ENT surgery scheduled the other day.One... more person told us to wait and we waited for nearly half an hour. After that one nurse came and asked us to have registration at the reception which costs rs 150.In addition to registration we have to pay the fee for injection too.So for an injection which barely costs 30 or 40 we have to pay 4 or 5 times at mims calicut. Its meant for looting money. No ethics.
Had a bad experience on 28-Sep-2017, consultation was with Dr. Suresh S Pillai, I got the queue number from front registration desk, but that took almost 7 hours to be called by the doctor, I am not sure... more where is the weak side of management, I believe the queue management for this doctor is really unacceptable, of course the fee for a senior doctor should be higher than the others, but also this must be managed properly according to the hospital standard.
After awaited for almost 6 and half hours I had to check with front desk again, then they called doctor to check why this has not been called for so long then they had mentioned the doctor will call soon , again awaited nearly one hour which I found to be the worst queue management by the hospital.
After I got called , the doctor did not properly checked the results on MRI scan report and not properly explained about next steps, he just told me "oh there is some problem and maintain the exercises, but did not tell me what are the exercises to do :D" and also did not explain the severity or the solutions for my disease, this made more disappointing and the consultation with doctor and awaiting so long I felt useless.
I believe the hospital now does not have much senior doctors for orthopedics, in between during consultation of the patients the doctor also was going out and in very frequently, also was giving priority for the highly paid international patients (this option is not available for Indian nationals). This made many people frustrated who were awaiting outside.
Dr. Suresh is a well known spine specialist but wondering why he could not explain about my spine condition, even this has been mentioned on the report I had provided.
The last point I had noticed that the assistant nurse at front door of the doctor's room helped many people with queue number who are far behind, and did not call sequentially in the queue number order which is extremely unprofessional.
