I would like to say a massive Thankyou to the lovely nurse that attended to my dad today. My dad is 89 and has dementia and she was so kind and understanding. She also set my mind at rest with the injuries... more he had sustained. I'm very grateful for your help. X
My daughter who has grommets in her ears started bleeding badly from her right ear one Sunday evening. On the Monday morning she and I travelled to Keswick hospital. We were seen by a nurse very quickly... more who then asked if we would come back in an hour to see a doctor. We went into Keswick and returned an hour later, the lady on the front desk recognised us and we saw the doctor within 5 minutes. The doctor had a look in the ear and opted to call an ENT colleague in Carlisle. He ran though his observations with his colleague who then offered us a 2:30 appointment that day! We then went to have a bite to eat and headed up to Carlisle. I was very impressed with the service and support at this small rural hospital which clearly punches well above its weight. I'm dismayed to see that the NHS is planning to close this excellent example of local community care! I chose this hospital over kendal due to the reviews on Google maps. Given that kendal had no reviews I opted to go for Keswick and I'm so glad I did! They made my 8yo daughter feel a lot better about what was going on.
