I recently had a baby at MCM and the care I received from the staff was great. I was a patient for 5 days on the OB unit, I had some complications with the end of my pregnancy which resulted in an emergency... more c-section. I have also used their ER services and was admitted as an inpatient for an emergency appendectomy and had great care then as well. My mother and my husband have both been patients in the Emergency Room as well, and they have received excellent care from the RNs and Dr. Carey and Dr. Inman.
I went here to have my first child. I had Dr. Schwarts I'm fairly certain is how you spell his name. He didnt perscribe prenatals or see me untill I was about 6 months pregnant. I was examined without... more lubrication which caused bleeding and severe pain during using the rest room for about a week after an examination. After my blood was drawn I heard he and the nurse discussing that there were 2 women with the same first name and that is how our bloods were mixed up. The Dr hadnt mentioned that at all. That was the only blood sample taken to see if mu babys blood was compatible without medication to develope without complication. As i ended up 3 weeks past the due date he had mentioned, I was a good canadate for being induced. I was in alot of pain by the last few weeks. While was pregnant I began vomiting and diarrhea had occured. I was very sick and couldnt rest, starting to have cramps I was in the hospitol here and my nurse was a light amoungst the dark. She had called my doctor for a shot to help me sleep and stop vomiting. Dr. Schwarts had notified to her that something like this will pass. Shes being a hypochondriac. So then i proceeded to cry in pain and run to the hospitol bathroom and vomit and then diarrhea. My nurse knew the pain I was in and knew that I was in trouble. She contacted another Dr. Of which she mentioned could trump his descision. Needles to say this momma got some sleep that night. No more pain, puking or anything of the sort. That nurse was an angel. Then the day i was induced, i had an adverse reaction and begun to feel energized and the room spun on lunesta. Then after i had slept 4 hours they woke me up after not checking to see if i had slept. They hooked me up to pitocyn and begun cranking it up. They broke my water the female dr in duty. They cranked it up untill after 2 devices were put inside of me and a needle in one hand and finger monitor in the other i cpuldnt move. I felt helpless, and the nurses began placing cold saline bags near me and distributing it into my uterus. I began to shake and feel cold. Im not sure of my baby. The female Dr came in after a couple of bags tp relieve pressure off of the baby from the pitocyn and because they popped my amniotic sack prematurelym they made ot to 5 bags and the female dr on duty walks in and says: you shoupdve put that in a blood warmer. So a half hr into me pushing with my legs held high a nurse barges in and says the beds in the hallway. They are getting prepared to take her down. They had ppanned my c section completely from the start Im guessing to be prepared for that before i even get 1 hr to get my contractions right now that pitocyn is disconnected. I get rushed into the operating room. There were6 strangers im there. An old lady with a hair cover yells at me to take off my clothes quick, then she yells scoot over as im naked.completely and ashamed. My dr is woken up, clearly angry, I hear hospitol staff say he wasmt pleased he kust layed down with his wife. He cuts me open quickly the female dr makes a comment on how harsh he is treating my body behind the curtain. I start talking to her as the only halfway possitive person. She ended up finishing and checking up on me. At my 6 week check up I have a new wound on my vagina, I passed a fleshy tunnel lile thing in the restroom 4.5 weeks after the c sec. He presses my vagina to get some puss put as he chuckles and says this is kind of mean im sorry. I said what happens if the antibiotic doesn't work he says well have to make an insision and drain it, it wont be fun. Ive had this woumd reappear every 3 months since having my daughter 4 years ago. There is a little more but i cant keep going on. Please be cautious when considering this hospitolthank you.
Terrible medical center. Better off seeking help from toddlers. Rude, uneducated and unprepared staff. I was told to expect a call within the hour and finally got the results when I called 4.5 hours later.... more
