I have asthma. Every time I have had to go to the E.R. for treatment I have been told not to wait so long before coming in. Yesterday I started having an attack that my inhaler, nor breathing treatments... more were not getting rid of. I could still fill the tightness in my lungs. So, I went it. I felt that because it was not as severe as it usually is, they did not take it seriously. Just gave me a breathing treatment and sent me packing. Well here I am about 12 hours later and the attack is still going, now reaching for severe. So thanks for the second E.R. Bill I am going to have to pay for in 24 hours. I know my body!
My mother was here in mid Jan. 2018 for multiple issues that were difficult to really get a handle on. I was worried about the care she would receive since we had a bad experience 15 years ago with a surgical... more procedure here. But I have to give the new management kudos for a vast improvement in the overall care that she has received. The Drs and nurses on the 2nd floor were compassionate and flexible when her needs changed every few days. Dr Gay, PA Kala, and nurse Patricia were particularly wonderful. Acute care transitioned into swing bed status with PT and OT beginning in the same room with no transferal necessary (who knew this was even possible?). Then therapy continued in the Manor next door, relieving my father of tremendous worry. Huge shout out to PT Jamie and OT Kristin for seamless care the entire time. Everyone has been very helpful and professional. My mom will go home in a few days and have more PT to build strength, which is a task at 84.
I know the facilities are old and need updating but the care was first class. Thanks so much for the services provided, Bainbridge is a better place for it.
ONE OF THE SLOWEST, CARELESSNESS HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS...THEY PUT ME IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE MI HEALTH WAS AT RISK IN A SHARED ROOM WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE FLU VIRUS & IM HERE FOR SWELLING...JUST... more VERY UNPROFESSIONAL DOESN'T CARE TO EXPLAIN WHATS GOING ON WITH YOU OR TO KEEP YOU UPDATED. I HONESTLY HOPE I DON'T EVER GOT TO COME HERE IN DYIER NEED!!
