I came here for the first time, with my husband and my 9month old son. I just moved here from Vegas, and im new to this area. So coming to this hospital was a new experience and will definitely be my... more last. I brought my son in, for "What I thought at the time was an emergency.. or could have possibly turned into one" I am not a Dr. And in my opnion, when his Dr. Office is closed .. that is what an ER is for. We waited almost 2 hours to even be taken back, when there was maybe one other person in the waiting room besides us. By the time we said something, it then took about 5 mins after that.. So idk. Once we were in a room.. the Dr comes in with about 5 people. And asks who is there to be seen.. which he should have known after all that time it was an infant, right? He asks to put the baby on the bed, and I begin to explain that my son was seen previously by his Dr the day before over his head growing to rapidly, and that he could possibly have fluid around his brain.. and also that he needed a cat scan.. I begin to tell him that my son has had some on going issues and symptoms that I thought could possibly be linked to this, before I even knew about this head issue.. and how he was acting that day, which led to the ER visit. And the DR totally cut me off... kept telling me he was FINE.. he looks FINE.. he told me, "you cant bring him in here Every time you think somethings wrong with him ".. he then begin to smile as I am crying kept joking that he just doesn't see what's wrong and wants to know why I brought him in all of a sudden because his pediatrician said his head was too big. That was not the case. I know how my son acts on a daily basis. So I figured If the pediatrician ordered a ct scan, maybe it was really important, and maybe that's why my baby was acting weird lately. I am not a Dr like I was before.. so when I bring him to a Dr I expected him to be a little more understanding. Especially in a ER where things are traumatic weather they are life threatening or not. He had horrible bed side manner, and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. He was rude, and the way he kept smirking and making rude statements was totally wrong. The two nurses who were also in there even said they noticed what was happening, and they both stayed and talked to my husband and I and answered all of our questions as well. If it wasn't for those to it would have been a living nightmare. This Dr goes by Dr Tak. For short.
In ER we are military and just moved to CO springs from Mason.
