This review is long overdue, as I have had two separate experiences with this hospital, one as a patient, and the other as a family member of a patient. Let me also preface this review by saying that as... more the son of a disabled father, I have had more experiences with hospitals than more people should, so I know the difference between a good one and a bad one. My first experience with NCMC was in November of 2016, when I broke my leg in three places. The ER, which I arrived at around 9 PM, was staffed with friendly and caring people, and was very quick in getting me seen and eventually admitted. I had surgery the next morning, and felt very comfortable, informed, and taken care of the whole time. Perhaps the best example of the staff going above and beyond for me was the way they communicated with my parents before, during, and after the surgery, who were 1000 miles away and had no way of coming to Colorado. The nurses called my mom and informed her with every new development, and the surgeon (Dr. Gardener) himself took time to call my mom after the surgery was over to explain what he did and how it went, and that made her fell infinitely better about not being able to be there. After surgery, I was made very comfortable, and was home the next day. My second experience with NCMC was when my grandpa fell while visiting for UNC's graduation in May of 2017. He broke a rib and suffered some severe bruising, and was at NCMC for three days. My family was amazed with the care and services that NCMC provided, and they made sure my grandpa was ready for the trip home before he was released. All in all, words can't express how thankful I am for the way myself and my family have been treated at NCMC, and while I hope to not have to go back, I know that if I do, my loved ones and I will receive the best care from the best hospital staff in Northern Colorado.
Such a good staff and nurses were great. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is after my lythotripsy I had to return because the stint caused a lot of pain and blood. that doctor was a real jerk, even the... more nurses didn't like how I was treated. Any other time they have been great.
NCMC and Banner Health are the best! I am so thankful that we chose this group and hospital! Labor and delivery and post-partum exceeded all my expectations and I couldn’t be more happy with the high... more level of quality and care that I received. Dr. James Summers, Chelsea, Karen, Nikki, Diana, and Heather are some of the amazing staff that went above and beyond the call of duty! The breastfeeding clinic continues to be an invaluable resource!
