I understand long waiting periods in an ER. But once you spend 6 hours of waiting, one should expect a Dr having concerns for a patient.
My pregnant friend fainted twice at a local store, was light... more headed and had severe headache and belly pain. Dr Hill only checked for the headache and told her to take some Tylenol and take it easy. I made him aware that she is pregnant and recalled the fainting.
Triage nurse had tested blood sugar and it was low, Dr Hill said it wasn’t a bad thing and totally ignored any complaints my friend had. There was neither interest from him to go to the bottom of why she is feeling bad nor any kind of compassion toward the patient. He mentioned to “comeback if you feel worse” whom is he kidding?????
I spoke to nurse and told her we were not happy he never checked on the baby and would officially complain the next day. Only then was a nurse sent in to check baby heartbeat real quick before we leave.
Shame on that doctor! Never will return to that place!
I gave birth here back in 2011 in the maternity section. The 'Dr' was barely around until my son was about to crown. Later on, I had tried to breast feed my son when he was first born but I had no luck.... more Then the bimbo they called a lactation nurse came to my room. I told her he's not latching on and her reply was, 'Oh he's supposed to know what to do'. Then she held him without supporting his neck. What a joke! And if all babies latched on, she wouldn't have a job in the first place.
I'm just very happy my son was born healthy. Unfortunately no help from the Dr or staff here. They didn't do an ultrasound to see how big he was. He ended up being a 9lb baby with a head circumference of 13 inches!!! That's very rough on a female that's only 5'1 and around 135lbs. I was completely cut from V to the A!!!
I only came to this DUMP cause I didn't know I was pregnant til i was in my second trimester and no other place would accept me but here. I was also 19 years old at the time and if I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have gave birth there.
Took my kid in for an infected ingrown toenail nail, spent at best 15min. Nurse practitioner came in, looked at it said they can't work on him and referred us to a foot doctor. Bill came......$1000.00.... more no one can tell me for what as we received no services. DO NOT GO TO NORTH OAKS. They pretty off of the working people with no insurance. I will never go back!! I am sure they hire people to give good reviews or there would only b bad ones. This hospital is horrible!!!
