Absolutely terrible finance department. I called and asked about a bill and dealt with total hood rats who insisted on arguing with me versus trying to help me. Because of this, I've changed hospital... more and doctor networks. For the first time in my life I've vowed to never go back somewhere because of an encounter with their billing reps, that's how awful they are. I called because I paid my third and final installment of my bill and somehow a week later was submitted to collections. When I asked why I was submitted to collections and I received the response "I dunno, maybe you should pay yo bills." I explained I paid the bill and that they sent me to collections in error, her response was "you need to stop calling here and be callin the collection agency, its their problem now, not mine, we pay our bills." I went on to explain that I had already called the collection agency and that the item needed to be pulled from the hospitals end. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she was even worse than the original person I spoke with. As soon as she got on the phone she was incendiary and verbally combative. She started out by saying "we don't make mistakes, you do." I asked her to review my payments versus balance. She said she was going to have to call me back because she is about to go to lunch and she needed to consult with her supervisor on this matter. I explained that I've never once received a call back from that office and I've left several messages over the past 10 days. She said "I'm going to put you on hold real quick like." then promptly hung up on me. I plan on going to their offices tomorrow in person to get this matter settled once and for all. All this drama for a bill that I paid in three parts and have receipts for all three payments. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL NETWORK AT ALL COSTS!!
Good hospital. Great staff and attending physicians.
Our two children and five grandchildren were each born at Northwest Community Hospital which has seen us through every kind of life situation... more from beginning to end of life. We seek physicians who are affiliated with this hospital and appreciate that all then have access to our medical histories. We are thankful to have such good care so close to home.
I have been a patient through the NCH group for many years. I have found that they have made amazing changes over the years, specifically with regards to their customer care. From their labs to their day... more surgery, the difference is incredible. I applaud their efforts to ensure that their care has become holistic and compassionate to the patient care and the family support system.
