This review comes from Chris Hawthorne.
On 23 April 2018 my brother Richard Hawthorne had a stroke, while driving.
The Ambulance service and the police dealt with the situation very well and... more he was taken by the police to Nottingham QMC.
From QMC he was taken to the stroke unit at Nottingham City Hospital.
I had been telephoned and saw him being wheeled in the stroke unit.
The ambulance driver Philip was very kind and concerned.
Dr Andrew Baxter was very caring to my wife and myself and spent time explaining what was happening and the options which was very helpful.
Dr Morris and Nurse Naomi were also very sensitive and helpful as were all the team at the stroke unit.
Our thanks for an excellent and caring service by the NHS
Richard Hawthorne died very peacefully at 6.30 am 24th April at the age of 86
