As a visitor to the hospital I had found it very clean and easy to navigate. The patient I was visiting had a good experience, however, a female nurse at the nurse's desk and the man who delivered food... more were very rude to me. Additionally, I actually watched a female nurse berate a male nurse who was sitting in her chair when she wan't even in the area.
I do have to commend the workers at the 1615 Bistro cafeteria. Exceptional service and very friendly! The cafeteria deserves 5 stars.
As for the decor in the hospital, they really need to upgrade the main lobby and the chapel. Very 70's looking and it felt sterile and cold. The hospital could definitely use a warmer atmosphere, especially for patients and family/friends who are in crisis. Management should realize that the environment does make a difference in how people feel.
If you are wanting to have your life and health not taken seriously while being a guinea pig to these quacks from whatever clown college they got a degree from. Look no more. If you want to live, drive... more to the next closest hospital...even if its a veterinarian office. You'll be in more qualified care.
I was having horrible abdominal pain and was told i needed to go to the ER as it was thought I was having an appendicitis. The dr came in and told me that they were going to draw blood and if everything... more normal I can go home. I said that doesnt explain the horrible abdominal pain I'm feeling. He said if it makes you feel better we can do a CT. I said yes please. My blood work came back normal. I was then off to get my CT. The dr came back an explained that I have a 4cm cyst on my left ovary and a 3.5 cm on my left. I then went home no pain meds or anything I was taking 800 mg of ibuprofen the next day to calm the pain down to a duller pain. Later that I night I was in so much pain I was crying. I now had pack pain shooting up my back and to my shoulders. I then decided to go to the ER at legacy salmon creek. They got me in and the dr reviewed my CT from the previous night as they were checking for an appendicitis, she said she did see both cysts but the imagine of the appendix was not good quality. She then did an exam and decided to do an ultrasound on my gallbladder given my family history. Come to find out my gallbladder was full of gallbladder stones. Not once did the ER dr at PeaceHealth even mention anything about this. Or even do an exam for it.
Then she did a pelvic ultrasound and the left ovarian cyst was 5cm and the right 4-4.5 cm.
If I didn't request and be firm that I wanted that CT scan I wouldn't know about the ovian cyst and I have no clue why peacehealth would check my gallbladder thank goodness for legacy and their staff. How peace health is still functioning in Longview is beyond me? The amount of mistakes this hospital makes on me and other patients, I can't even fathom.
