My mum was taken to pilgrim by ambulance after falling and giving herself concussion. We had to wait for hours in a hallway before they took her to CT scan but they did get her on a trolley quickly. After... more seeing a doctor and being told the notes taken by the paramedic were wrong my mum was then moved to wait in the middle of A&E on a trolley to be gawked at for another hour.
Admitted on Friday to A and E with heart condition .nothing but praise for this department the assessment unit and esp the ACU ward .excellent care by hard working dedicated friendly staff . Was kept well... more informed, food good and good facilities .Thanks to all concerned
Went to a and e with my partner who was having pains in his chest. He was seen quite quickly and had an ecg and blood taken from his arm. That service was very good. Nearly 6 hours later after a chest... more x-ray and more blood taken the doctor gave him a prescription for some tablets. Went to pharmacy next morning only to be told the doctor had not put amount of tablets to be given. So frustrating that drs do not know how to fill in a prescription!! Still have not received tablets as Pilgrim have not sent our Dr copies of paperwork. Over 40 hrs later still nothing - disgraceful lack of organisation!!!
