The Fitness Center is state of the art.
There is a separate area used for physical therapy & rehab., The warm water therapy is particularly helpful. The instructors are too notch-they really... more tailor exercises to your soecific needs.
They have free art therapy classes for people with chronic conditions 1st & 3rd Friday of the month.
There are other free and low cost courses available for members of the community, in particular, nursing mothers, camcer patients. Check the website for details.
Update # I apology for losing my cool with the woman in billing as she does not determine the costs.
Their billing is outrageous and we have no rights to dispute charges, it's just is what they... more say! $13,600 plus dollars for radiology work and an EKG for what turned out to be anxiety; as I was concerned it was more and wanted my husband to be checked out after complaining at work about some pain when breathing. He was not in major distress but I was concerned and convinced him to get checked out after his work shift. He was at Queen of the Valley for about there about 1 hour with our Son, and glad my husband is ok but we now have been hit by a major bill (after insurance and adjustments close to $5,000) and this just set us back financially for awhile! We also have very good insurance (and the bill ate up the entire deducetible) but this facility knows how to take advantage! Really wrong. I am happy to have changed to Kaiser as one false step with Queen of the Valley as our Provider for emergencies and we will end up in financial crisis. :( I am very upset, something just feels wrong about the astronomical charge.
Extremely dissspointed to say the least . Some great nurses, social worker was very helpful. The hospital just treated the symptoms for my 80 year old mother, never ruled out the underlying cause of her... more symptoms . Just did the basics and referred us to a GI. They SHOULD have addressed the GI while in the hospital and should have done a Chest x Ray .
Basic standard of care was minimal
Rate of readmission after discharge from hospital (hospital-wide)
Rate - 15.7% (0.3% below the national rate)
