I was transferred by ambulance from Hutchinson Hospital to Salina....noting the physician from Salina accepted me for transfer and treatment....I got there I was mocked...laughe l at and treated horrible.... more The doctor in the emergency department called me a racial slur. Then the just told me they wouldn't do anything for me about my condition. My question is why in the hell would you accept and transfer someone if you wouldn't take care of them there? Plus I was taken by ambulance....my poor Mom who is in kidney failure and my sister who is poor had to drive to pick me up in Salina....FOR NOTHING! I have tried to talk with someone in charge...they could care less....DO NOT GO TO SALINA REGIONAL....you get better treatment at a gas station.
I've had three kids here and multiple procedures of my own, on top of that I've had friends or family through every floor. I've caught a few staff members on bad days but has generally seemed more because... more of administration short staffing. Although I'd prefer never returning I'm glad it's here when I need it.
Nurses are great, doctors just have lost track of the patients. They just don't care people are hurting. I guess they get paid either way so hurry up and wait. Please get off the golf course ..dinner two... more hours..help people who hurt. You aren't gods ..care for people. Its what you became a doctor for. Be ashamed.
