Agree with other reviewers that this hospital "takes" your insurance but it is out of network for most medical insurance. They also say that because it is out of network, everything in this hospital is... more more expensive. The billing office makes confusing bills and don't work with insurance company to clarify the bill. The billing office does not answer phone calls in stated business hours. A lot of other unprofessional or questionable communications. Avoid this hospital if you can.
I ended up in this ER with a really bad bout of food poisoning and very dehydrated. Unfortunately I have a rare neurological condition. All I needed was 2 bags of saline and a mild sedative. I spent 6... more hours explaining to 5 different doctors and nurses how to better help me. Out of 5 people not one of them listened. I spent 6 hours flopping around in a seizure before having a friend take me to somewhere where I could get some real help. Instead of being the science mystery for the zuckerberg ER that day.
My mom was taken here three times the last 6 weeks. They have her wait 8-10 hours for the doctors without actual progress. She was released too early each time, and became even more sick than before.... more The only good thing about the Emergency Room and Hospital Inpatient are 80% of the nurses in Unit 56. I can say more but I’m too furious right now sitting in the Emergency Room watching my Mom in pain while the doctors and nurses walk around acting like we should be grateful when they actually talk to us!
