I had a very bad experience at Baylor Scott and White on University Ave. in Round Rock. Before I asked for a doctor appointment I asked them if they take my insurance (In Network) and they said YES and... more just pay the $40 Copay to see a specialist. I went twice and paid my Copay. After two weeks from my Dr's visit, I recieved 2 bills for $89.91 and $81. I called the billing office and they told I need to pay those as a facility service fee!!!! because the clinic was located at the hospital! Total Rip off@ Definitely I do not recommend them to anyone! They should have told me about the service fee before I booked my appointment! They have hidden fees that you won't learn about until you are done from your Dr's visit. I always go to clinics located at hospitals and never ever I paid a facility service fee because the clinic was located at the hospital!
A year later, as is typical with this hospital, I'm still trying to resolve billing issues. Wrong spelling of my name, Date of Birth, SSN, or just entered wrong insurance. Still can't get the bills resolved.... more I call the insurance company and the say bills weren't even submitted to them!! However, Nurses and doctors were excellent. Doesn't really make up for the incompetence in the office.
Rate of readmission after discharge from hospital (hospital-wide)
