I'm not a complainer in general, but I'm sick (no pun intended) of this hospital. Every family member I've ever had be seen at this hospital has been treated terribly. As a nurse, I understand how busy... more nurses can be but, currently, my father is one of the only patients here, so I know it's not that the nurses are busy. He told me his bed hadn't been changed since he arrived FIVE DAYS AGO and there was even blood on his blankets. I went out to the nurse's station to find his nurse with her feet propped up, scrolling on her phone. Without looking up from her phone, she asked how he was doing (it's because she has no idea because he isn't being checked on). I politely asked her about changing his sheets and it was then that she asked about getting him showered, etc. She was nice while changing his bed, but she informed us that good patients who don't complain just get left by the wayside because the nurses are so busy and that, if he needs or wants something, he has to ask for it. WHAT?! He is paying a ton of money to be here but he's supposed to ASK someone to empty his full urinal?! Or bring him a blanket that doesn't have blood on it?! Every problem at this hospital (besides the crappy equipment) boils down to laziness. I have never in my career witnessed such a lazy group of medical professionals as I have over the years at Spring View. Avoid this hospital if at all possible.
Worst experience ever. Super slow. My sister was in extreme pain! Screaming and crying. They gave her Motrin. Which did nothing. If you want a good hospital go to Flaget in bardstown. They will help you.... more Not sit and listen to you suffer!
