I have been to the ER at this facility twice. Both times I encountered a very negative charge nurse. I am always very courteous and polite with people I encounter and yet my family and I were treated... more very poorly. I did ask for a more senior person to talk with and for a copy of the hospitsl's Patient's Bill of Rights. Only then did I receive some answers to my questions. Additionally, the nurses and doctors are not good at keeping patients updated on the status of their care and tests even when the ER is not busy. While this hospital is the closest I will risk driving a bit further to another institution. Unfortunately, this area needs a hospital otherwise I would be happy to see it closed.
Both of my daughters were born at River District in 1995 & 1996. I had my gallbladder removed in 1995. I spent over a week here in 2009 after complications arose from surgery I'd had at another hospital.... more I visited the infusion center every 3 weeks for 6 months in 2009. I have all of my blood work and diagnostic testing done here - Ct Scans, mamograms, muga scans. I have been to River District about 12 times in the last 6 months. I have NEVER had anything less than OUTSTANDING service and care from the staff!
I had a chemical stress test done on May 23rd and I had a great experience! The staff was amazing!! I was there for about 4 hours and the time flew by, they talked me through everything and I was comfortable... more with the whole experience!! Love this hospital!!
