Kept suggesting to stretch my throat which is dangerous and that muscle can be damaged after one or two and well I only had one done and when the next suggestion was made I headed up to Mayo Clinic and... more found out I didn't need my throat stretched at all and that in fact my issue was a nerve issue caused by Fibromyalgia.
The few times I've visited St. Vincent's (and prior as St. Mary's), I've received excellent care. As the #2 Trauma Unit in the nation, the Trauma Team saved my son's life in 2009 (due to a vehicle accident).... more My son was in the Trauma Unit for 1-week, hospital room for 3-weeks, and in the Rehabilitation Unit for nearly 2-months. Had he been transported elsewhere --I firmly believe he would not have survived. Care providers: Brain Surgeon, MD, Rehabilitation Therapists. The staff provided me and his father with in-room cots and a small refrigerator; whereby we could stay with our son 24/7. I cannot say enough about St. Vincent's excellent care, professionalism, or attention to every detail. We felt like staff co-partnered with us as we found ourselves undergoing a major life-accident in our family. God's speed to the entire staff, and to the many care teams at St. Vincent's.
