My most recent experience was absolutely terrible. The only reason for the second star is the level of care I received from daytime nursing staff. I have consistently gone to Denton Presby because of the... more care and treatment I have received in the past from employees there, however I will not be returning. Overwhelmingly, my negative interactions were with evening nursing staff (and one sonogram tech in ER). Each doctor I encountered in my recent visit was caring, compassionate, and acted quickly to assist me with my issues. My pain management preceding and following an invasive surgical procedure was absolutely appalling. Additionally, safety precautions were not consistently followed, and I was often left by myself in the restroom to navigate back to my bed with an unplugged IV tree while still struggling to transfer after surgery. Most concerning was my discharge- following an invasive abdominal surgery that required a morphine drip for pain management, I was told to “pick up some ibuprofen on my way home”. When I followed up with my doctor to get prescriptions for the numerous side effects they did not adequately prepare me for, she was appalled at the treatment and lack of care I had received. I will NEVER return to Denton Presby as a patient.
Horrible Horrible Place! They yelled out my personal info. in front of the whole emergency room. Hippa law they clearly didn't have training in. These docs come out of a cracker jack box!! Read BBB reviews,... more consumer affairs. They have like a 2 star rating. RUDE RUDE STAFF.
Im giving them a 2 due to the receptionist being so nice when I came in and the nurse who wheeled me to maternity dept. I left before signing and having to unhook myself from the machines and leave about... more 3 weeks ago and now due to lack of transportation i may have to return very soon to deliver my baby boy which im terrified at 37weeks. 3 weeks ago i fell in my kitchen climbing to refill my air freshners. I didnt feel harmed and i felt i held my belly good. But the next days i started feeling bad and my hip was throbbing and intense pain radiating down to my knee cap. I went in for help with my hip pain. And the dr that seen me basically told me go home and take tylenol after i told her i been consuming over the dosage amount until im vomiting the medicine back up. Hot and cold packs. She pat my leg and turn out the room. I unhooked myself and left. How could you refuse to treat a patient with 7/10 pain. I moved here from Houston in may. Big difference in Healthcare system. I needed some sort of mild pain meds. Im in healthcare also so i KNOW there is safe narcotics that a pregnant woman can take. My med hx shows i was once prescribed tramadol in 2013 for back pain after accident when i was pregnant with my now healthy 4 year old. She was noncompassinate and acting nonchalant about everything... I was praying to be able to get a rental car for my last month to go to dallas when in labor but unfortunately my contractions are kicking in so ill be stuck miserably going to this hospital in Denton. I never delayed going intl the dr to check on myself but im sitting here wanting to cry knowing the outcome of this visit. Pray for me and my baby.
