This is not the first time, Vanderbilt has had to pick up your slack. Your staff damn near killed my nicu baby, so I asked for a transfer. I was granted that. When we got to Vandy, he had a collapsed lung... more and was put on a ventilator at two days because your drs made a bad decision and had pressure forced into his chest far too high!
That baby is 3 months old now and sick with a stomach virus or something similar. He had just a started the diarrhea, puking, and not wanting to feed part of his illness. He was crying without tears, so I took him in. We waited for hours, no fluids. He had one wet diaper in an 8 hour period. They did blood work, which takes time to run. Did a urinalysis. Sent us home. Because his kidney fuction was fine. I flat out asked at this point for him to be given fluids. I said, why wait until his kidney reflects what I know he's experiencing?
Fast forward to 24 hours later, he's in the er at vandy, much worse-due in part to his dehydration. They take me seriously. They want him admitted, even before they ran tests. Why? Because you don't take risks when babies are involved.... when any lives are involved. He showed severe dehydration here. The tests showed that too. Thanks medical center for screwing up yet again.
Your nurses are great... your drs are extreme risks takers. This isn't vegas. Don't gamble with my kids life.
I'm speaking to a lawyer and the state licensing board at this point. "First do no harm".
if I can give them less then one star I would. I went there Aug. 31 and the Dr that saw me was Michelle king and she was very rude because I came in the for dizziness and all that and I found out I was... more pregnant and she was really rude said I should have bought a pregnancy test at home well after that I got the papers and went hone called to make an appointment to go to the Dr that I was supposed to reffered to well turns out she didn't even call it in so now the Dr won't even see me no one in town will so ya If I can give ZERO stars I would worst place EVER!!!!!!!!!
