Over the years took mother inlaw to ER a couple of times. Always 6-8 hours to get admitted and maybe a doctor takes 5-10 minutes with you. Last visit she was admitted after 6-8 hours for tests the next... more morning. After tests waited all day for doctor. No show and no explanation but discharged. Ridiculous!
Medical records especially documenting medications is so inefficient.
For being the premier hospital in Hawaii, lots of improvements needed.
Idiotic signage. Without doubt, this is the most ineptly signed hospital I have ever been in (and I have been in hospitals in Australia, Japan and The United Arab Emirates). Whoever did the signage is... more mentally retarded, or just a completely inept person who got the job because of cronyism. Got thoroughly lost. Was nobody at information. The 'help line' was no help. And the 15 minute free parking is a joke. It takes you 15 minutes just to get inside the actual hospital from the parking structure. Had to ask directions from workers who could barely speak English. And all I was doing was dropping off clothes to a patient who is a friend of a friend. Very, very frustrating experience.
