Had surgery. My place of business chose Jeff- not me. They Had my last name wrong which delayed things a bit as well as information saying I had back surgery....ummm, never had back surgery. Just felt... more like a chop shop. Nice staff....nice surgeon. Lotssss of students...( which I'm guessing gave me razor burn after shaving me when I was under). Not complaining. Feel Blessed everything went well. But ....guess I was expecting more.
URGENT: PLEASE READ!!!! Deciding to make Jefferson my hospital is the biggest mistake that I have ever made in my life. These uncaring thugs did not tell me about the newer, less painful therapies that... more I could have received at better hospitals. I unnecessarily suffered permanent damage to my body just so these lowlifes could bilk my insurance company out of $2 million. I would not recommend this horrible, third-world prison to my worst enemy. Despite being paid over $2 million by my insurance company in less than two years, these greedy thugs would not even pay for and arrange my transportation, despite my very fragile, weak condition. All competing hospitals do take care of transportation for patients with my illness. The nasty, arrogant security guard at the desk would not even call a cab for me, so I had to make several trips back up to the sixth floor just to get one, which by the way cost almost $200 roundtrip. Most of Jefferson's staff is downright hostile to their patients. Expect to wait two to six hours beyond appointment times just to begin one. Unlike normal hospitals, Jefferson will NOT call you in advance to verify your appointment. On at least a couple of occasions, I traveled all the way over there just to be told that they had no record of an appointment, despite showing them the appointment card that THEY had written. You will be required to verify the appointment in advance by spending one, two, or even three hours on the phone, maneuvering through their tedious phone maze and waiting on hold. Jefferson's food is horrible on steroids; it is not even a joke. I would not feed it to a dead rat. The treatments are antiquated; I suffered discomfort and extra risk because these out-of-touch creeps did not tell me about the new, painless therapies that I could have received at several better hospitals. I have never experienced any such problems at most other facilities. To add insult to injury, everything about Jefferson Hospital is FILTHY, rundown, incredibly old, outdated, and worn out. Do NOT be fooled by the five star reviews. Based on my experiences, they could not possibly have written by real patients. I am an actual patient, not a shill who gets paid to post fake five star reviews for torture chambers that masquerade as hospitals.
My Sister got surgery today. It was for her Fibroids. The nurse Cheryl on the 9th floor was EXCELLENT. She did her job very well and she took care of Me and My other Family members also. I really appreciate... more everything she did for my Sister. Cheryl is truly amazing and Nice and Caring. I would also like to take the time out and say Thank You to Jose for explaining to My sister about all the anesthesia that she would be getting for her Surgery and he was very detailed with all information and answered our questions as well. From the beginning to the end I Want To Thank Everyone for their Great Services and Hospitality Today. The 5th Floor and 9th Floor Rock° Thank You For A Wonderful Experience.
