The labor and delivery department was fantastic when I had my child there in 2013. The emergency room was quick and easy to get through. I've been for some tests here as well and the wait is normal. Everyone... more is very friendly, excellent service
Good experience in ER. Diagnosed properly and referred to TOA on campus. TOA was able to see me next day. Dr. Greenberg was very competent. Surgery was scheduled for the second day after my ER visit and... more I've been recovering properly since. Great experience.
Upon arriving, the line for the check-in process to be admitted to the emergency room did not take long. The reception staff even gave me documentation to be completed and other tasks needed to be done... more prior to my being admitted. This was nice because usually these steps are taken much later in the process either during the ER or at the payment area, so my time spent here was more minimal. However, once being admitted, my service was sub-par. I had several nurses check in periodically throughout different steps of treatment, yet it was only until 90 minutes of being in the ER did I finally receive a water drip. Two assistants even specifically commented how dehydrated I was yet took no action. I was told by one assistant that this day in particular was their busiest day ever. Nevertheless, whether it was exceedingly busy or not, basic treatment care need not be overlooked. Additionally, it took quite some time getting the needle in a vein despite having no trouble in the past with this step. It did not leave bruising but I did experience a fair share of pain. This was after I was told how easy my veins looked to be to work with.
Apart from the care itself and the steps leading up to it, the facility is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and works toward performing adequately. The space I was moved to was covered on all sides with curtains in substitute of walls, so all the noise throughout this area could be heard. I have never been to an ER prior to my own visit, so perhaps this kind of organization and layout is commonplace, but it did seem to some degree unsettling as others with low tolerance to pain cried out loud needing assistance.
