I personally have been very happy with the Washington Hospital in the past when I have been treated there. But to have my 84 year old father, told by his doctor (either he has sepsis or the beginnings... more of pneumonia?) to go straight to the hospital from the doctor office and they even called the Emergency Room ahead to let them know he was on his way. Got there at 2 pm in the afternoon, after tests - taking of blood, urinalysis, CT, history of kidney stones etc... he's in kidney failure. My mother and I stayed with him until 9 pm, we were still in the ER, mind you! Got a call from him at 11:30 pm, he's finally in a room!!!! NO PATIENT SHOULD HAVE TO BE IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM FOR 8 FULL HOURS TOTAL! and should not have to wait after being admitted, in the ER to get a room!!!
The Washington Hospital really needs to get their act together... the patients who are ill and miserable should not have to wait as long as my dad did!!!
What can I say!! Great hospital!! I got really sick from food poisoning a few years ago, and I was admitted to Washington Hospital. I had my own room, and it was newly renovated. Plus, the staff, including... more the nurses, nurses aids, and the Doctor were great!! I received wonderful service. Plus both my grandma's have been admitted here with heart related issues and pneumonia, and they had fantastic outcomes!! I have gotten numerous outpatient tests performed here also and am 100 percent satisfied!! Highly recommended!!
