Well I now have SEVERAL bad experiences with the Weatherford Regional Hospital -
(1) Last year in September my mom went in on the 28th of August for a Infection - They told her it was a Infection... more around her Hernia - No additional xrays - I dont even remember them doing xrays in the first place in ER - However, its very hard to remember that time because Sept 2 @ 6am my mom passed away - My daughter who was 13 @ the time she had told me that my mom was having a hard time breathing and the nurse or an attendant came in and noticed that she was having a hard time breathing and instead of pushing a button in emergency they took their sweet time to start CPR and then they decided to kick my daughter out and in the mean time she called me and I ended up going to the hospital and when i got there i went to the nurses station they were standing around doing nothing and i asked what was going on with my mom and they said "well shes not breathing , and they are trying to do CPR on her - then after about 10-15 minutes the Respiratory guy came out and I asked how she was doing and if she was breathing they told me No , I did not know anything for a hour and half AFTER she had passed away - But then IF that was not the worst part - the worst part was HOW i got told by the "ER" dr that was on Call "Dr. Lamb decided that he wasnt going to ask me how the patient was related , seen that I had my daughter with me, he didnt ask if there was anybody else with me, I told'em that my son and husband were coming as well but he decided to just blurt out "Well I hate to tell you but Donna DIED" and then watched and gave me a weird look when we freaked out and started crying & then Repeated the words to my husband and son 2 minutes later - No Comfort was offered nothing _ I have made a complaint to the hospital but nothing has been done and she was honestly NOT suprised at all on how Dr. Lamb was - I personally feel that he should of been more Responsible with his words especially with children in the room - If it was just my husband & I it would ofbeen one thing - We had the feeling we already lost my mom but to get comformation it would be of alot easier and more comfortoring to know from a dr that REALLY cared. Then had the NERVE to try and tell me in which he had no idea what really truly had made her pass away - He tried to tell me that her "heart was bad" and I told him BullS*it I know better my mom had a good strong heart - the ONLY thing that she had was a Hernia she had no other health issues - Then he turned around and told me that she had a blood clot that traveled up to her heart and attacked and I told him whatever !! - Come to find out it was "Abdominal Cellulitis " which i have looked up and they should of caught it. Weatherford Regional Hospital is a Horrible hospital that they just DO NOT CARE about the patients they care about the $$ and they also care of how long the patient is in the ER. So I lost my mom on the 2nd of Sept. and It has caused Emotion Stress on not only my self and family but my children - my daughter has a harder time than she had been before she has had a hard time sleeping and other emotional issues.
(2) Recently - My Father went to the hospital on the 3rd of Aug. for stomach pain in his middle of his abdominal pain - they did a CT scan and about an hour later they came back with that "there was nothing blocking his stomach Ended up taking him again on wed. the 6th and they did not repeat the CT scan (didn't think it was necessary) they repeated blood work and said that it was the "same" sent him home with pain pill and have a nice night - Sunday early morning My brother was taking him to Integris hospital in Yukon and they ended up having surgery - We were told that Weatherford should of SEEN this - we WILL be looking into this....
