The nursing staff here is the worst I've ever seen, and I've seen alot of nursing. Almost every time we needed a nurse during the night shift we had to wake the CNA up. They would hardly ever come in to... more check on us to see if we needed anything, and they would say they were going to do something and never do it. Even if we requested something such as a sponge bath or something they never did it .we requested a sponge bath the day our patient was released and never got it, even after requesting it three times. Terrible, something needs to be done!!!
My husband had been in a rehab facility down in Phoenix after having a stroke. The care in Phoenix was terrible and he received very little physical therapy. We made the decision to move him to White... more Mtn Regional Medical Center's swing bed program against the advise of the Doctors in Phoenix. It was the best decision we made. He was closer to home and did not have to be in the valley by himself, I can go visit every day. The nursing staff have been very caring and compassionate. The PT, OT went out of their way to help my husband make as much progress as possible. Jay the OT therapist is exceptional. John the Director of the Swing Bed Program has been there all the way helping us. If you live in the White Mountains and have a loved one that you want to have closer to you and want them to have great care, give the Swing Bed Program at White Mountain Regional Medical Center a good look. It is the best.
